What counts as a character?
Letters, numbers, punctuation, spaces, and line breaks are included. Characters are counted as Unicode code points: an emoji such as 😀 counts as one, while combined emoji and accented sequences may contain several. Each line break in the text area counts as one character.
Example: count a short message
Hello world contains 11 characters, including the space. A target platform may count emoji or combined characters differently, so check its own counter when working close to a strict limit.
