Remove Empty Lines From Text File
Clean empty lines from a text, CSV or log file without uploading it. Select your file and download a cleaned copy with _no_empty_lines added to its name.

What changes?
Blank lines, including lines made up of spaces or tabs, are removed. The remaining lines keep their original content, spacing, and line endings. The original file is unchanged.
The download adds _no_empty_lines before the extension: report.csv becomes report_no_empty_lines.csv. Files without an extension keep no extension.
File formats
Supports UTF-8, ASCII-compatible text, and UTF-16 files with a byte order mark. The original bytes and byte order mark are preserved for retained content. UTF-32 is not supported.
CSV files are processed as physical lines. Blank lines inside quoted multiline fields are also removed; rows containing commas or quoted empty values are retained.
Clean a file or paste text?
Use this tool when your text is already saved in a file. For text copied from an editor or email, use Remove Empty Lines under Text Editing. Take care with CSV files where a blank line may belong to a quoted multiline field.
