About these timezones

The result updates as you change the time or either timezone. It uses a 24-hour clock and indicates whether the result is on the same day, an earlier day, or a later day.

GMT and UTC options use fixed offsets, including half-hour and quarter-hour timezones. Named US daylight and standard time options also use fixed offsets: for example, Eastern Daylight Time is always UTC−04:00, while Eastern Standard Time is UTC−05:00. Choose the version you need; these options do not switch automatically with the seasons.

The browser timezone option uses your device’s current timezone offset. This is a time-only converter; conversions for other dates may differ where daylight saving time applies.

US offsets follow the U.S. Naval Observatory timezone reference.

Daylight time and standard time are different

US daylight and standard time labels represent different offsets. Pick the option that applies to your intended date. Because this tool has no date field, it is not a date-aware scheduler for daylight-saving transitions.
